Inside Lindsey’s Makeup Bag

Happy Friday!!

If you remember the interview with local makeup artist Lindsey Rourke a few weeks back, today I am sharing another interview regarding what is in her makeup bag. I hope that you ladies find this helpful, because I did. I purchased the Smashbox Primer Water and fell in love with it.

Also, don’t forget to check out Lindsey’s website!

Smashbox Primer Water– This stuff is like a tall drink of water for your face. One of the reasons I love it is because its free of oil, silicones, parabens and fragrances. I use it after applying my moisturizer and prior to applying my makeup to hydrate and prime the skin. One of the added benefits of this product is that you can also use it after you’ve applied your makeup throughout the day to refresh and wakeup the skin.

MAC Cosmetics Mineralize Skin Finish– This powder contains a blend of 77 minerals and vitamin E pressed into a convenient compact. I love the idea of a mineral makeup but in the past I’ve hated the fact that they’re all loose because they don’t travel well, so I was pleased when this product came out. It provides medium coverage with a natural looking satin finish. I’ve also purchased this powder in darker colors because it makes for a beautiful bronzer.

MAC Zoom Fast Black Lash Mascara– This is a more intense, super black version of their original Zoom Lash formula. I’ve tried so many different kinds of mascara and I always keep going back to this one. One of my favorite aspects of this product is the brush. I personally don’t care for a chunky applicator with large bristles, so this one is the perfect size and defines even the smallest lashes.

Too Faced Melted Liquified Lipstick– I really love this product and I have it in multiple shades. This formula mixes the long wearing benefit of a lipstick with the comfort and softness of a gloss. I have at least one in my handbag at all times and I always get complimented when I wear it.

NYX Tame & Frame Brow Pomade– This product is a great dupe for Anastasia Dipbrow. I’ll freely admit that it doesn’t quite have the longevity as Dipbrow, but it’s a great product nonetheless. And for the price point, you can’t beat it. I apply mine with MAC’s 266 angled brush.

Morphe 350M Eyeshadow Palette– This palette is the BEST. It’s got a whopping 35 eyeshadows, all of which are impressively pigmented, at a very modest price point. These colors really work for anything, whether you prefer a more classic daytime look, or if you want an intensely glamourous eye. This is a go-to item for myself and my freelance clients. This palette is totally matte, so of that isn’t your thing Morphe makes the same product in a frosted version, as well as many other options.

It Cosmetics Bye Bye Foundation– I can’t say enough about this product. It’s absolutely beautiful on and feels amazing. It’s rich and moisturizing without feeling greasy, and it gives great coverage without appearing too heavy. Plus, it contains anti-aging ingredients and SPF 50 which protects you from the damaging effects of the sun’s rays. I love that this company formulates their products to actually improve the skin.

It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer– I can’t tell you how many concealers I’ve tried and been disappointed with over the years. But this product definitely lives up to all the hype. It is highly pigmented and gives flawless coverage without looking cakey, which is a problem with a lot of under eye products. In addition, it contains anti-aging ingredients like collagen and vitamins C & K to help treat imperfections.
